What a lovely image--aromatherapy in the garden. My mother brought me basil sprigs from her herb "patch," and I put it beside my desk. We had a small, circular herb garden at the old house, and I miss it so much. Thank you for this wonderful post.

I love the smell of basil, in fact we put it on the Grilled White Pizza I put on for foodie Friday but our basil was dried. Fresh is much better.

I used to live in the Santa Monica mountains in California with a tri-level yard. The slope of one level was covered with Creeping Rosemary and it was wonderful to walk out in the morning when the sun was drying the dew from the plants, especially when the lemon trees were covered with blossoms.

I'm going to make the Parmesan wafers with basil from my garden, thanks for sharing!

Giada's wafer recipe is one that I have made in the past and I can say hands down that it is delicious. For such a simple recipe I had so many people go nuts over these. I probably should not tell anyone how easy a recipe they are:) I could eat these all day myself:)
