I’m confused about the cake mix this cake starts off with, is it a yellow or white cake mix? Do you follow the directions of the manufacturer on the box, plus add the other ingredients? I can’t find any such exact cake mix on Betty Crocker’s site.

Christi..What flavor cake mix do you start out with? Yellow, or white? I use Duncan Hines Orange Supreme Cake mix for my Necterine cake recipe. It is very similar to yours. Can I post it here or would you rather me send it to you through email?

I just bought two mini bundt pans and would like to try them and this cake recipe sounds perfect. I can also use my mini loaf pans too. I keep thinking if I make smaller size cakes, we won’t pig out as much. Wishful thinking; there’s a method to my madness!

I made an Orange necterine cake that is good. Will have to send you the recipe. Very similar. Orange peel? Can I use the zest that comes in a jar from McCormick’s spice section instead of buying an orange to get the fresh peel/zest?
